Kibbutz Summer Ulpan

Price Units

The summer ulpan is a 4 week long program. Participants study Hebrew, live and volunteer on kibbutz and tour around Israel.

The program includes:

  • Hebrew lessons: Classes consist of approximately 10 students and meet for 40 teaching hours.
  • Workshops and activities where participants learn about kibbutz and Israel society.
  • Hikes and guided tours to historic sites and stunning locations around Israel.
  • Working on the kibbutz. The work opportunities will depend on the immediate needs of the kibbutz.
  • Enjoying the kibbutz facilities e.g. cooling off by the pool, sports courts.

Participants receive full board and lodging as well as sheets, blankets, pillows, and work-clothes.  Three meals a day are provided by the kibbutz. Laundry services are available on the kibbutz. All participants receive medical insurance.

Summer 2017:

The details of the program for 2017 are currently being finalized. We will be able to share them with you very soon. The program will begin in the first half of July and will be 4 weeks long. It is available for participants aged 17 – 28 years old.

Afternoon activity: Introduction to life in Israel

Tues:    Trip to the south: Beit Guvrin, Yatir forest, Bedouin hospitality

Wed:    Trip to the south: Masada, Arugot stream, Dead sea, Eilat

Thurs:   Trip to the south: Mountain jeep tour, Red sea – snorkeling, Ramon crater

Fri:       Day off

Sat:      Rest

Sun:     Hebrew lessons / work

Mon:     Hebrew lessons / work

Evening activity: B.B.Q by the swimming pool

Tues:    Hebrew lessons or work

Wed:    Tel Aviv tour

Thurs:   Hebrew lessons / work

Mon:     Trip to the north: Atlit, Osefiya- Druze hospitality & market. Tzfat – old city

Tues:    Trip to the north: Golan Heights – Banyas, Mount Kramim. Observation point. Jordan river – kayaks. End of program ceremony & special dinner.

Wed:    Program ends
