The summer Ulpan program allows you to participate in Ulpan at Kibbutz for a convenient summer stretch. Participants must be between the ages of 17.5-30 on the start date of the program. At these programs you will get a taste of kibbutz life by living in a unique agricultural community and having access to the kibbutz’s facilities and cultural activities, and by participating in one of the kibbutz’s work branches. There will also be programming designed specifically for the Ulpan participants and trips to noteworthy places around the country.
The 4-week Summer Ulpan programs is held on Kibbutz Mishmar HaSharon from July 12th 2016- August 9th 2016
ULPAN CLASSES AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAM:
The Ulpan’s goal is to provide you with a working knowledge of conversational Hebrew. Classes generally consist of 10-15 students and meet for about 60 teaching hours. The program includes general information of Israel society and Judaism, and guided tours and hikes to historic sites and stunning locations.
On work days, participants work for 6-8 hours. The type of work you do will depend on the immediate needs of the kibbutz.
Accommodations are dorm-style with two or three students to a room with shared bathroom and shower facilities en suite. The kibbutz provides full board and lodging as well as sheets, blankets, pillows, and work-clothes. Laundry services are available. You will be provided with three meals a day in the kibbutz.
The kibbutz facilities (club, swimming pool, sports courts, etc.) are free of charge and you are welcome to use them.

- The program costs $2,710 which includes: a non-refundable
deposit of $360; room; board; health insurance; Hebrew classes; guided tours etc. The cost does not include the airfare. Full payment for the program is due by June 14th 2016, four weeks prior to the start date of the program.
